v0.5.0 - Dodge Level


Additions

  • Added the 6th level: Dodge!
    • Avoid a series of moving floor tiles on both sides of the mirror!
    • Currently, there are 7 phases to this level. More will come and the existing ones will change as more player feedback is gathered.
  • Added a “coming soon” preview to the Epilogue (formerly Second Confrontation) level.
    • To best communicate the current work-in-progress state of the game, I will be holding off the release of the Epilogue level until the final version of Misreflection’s release. It’s only an additional 1-2 minutes of gameplay wrapping up the experience, so nothing major is being missed.
  • Added a “skip level” button to the data settings menu.
    • Phase progression (collectibles collected) will not be set to 100%, but the level will be set as “finished” and the next one will become playable via the level select menu.

Changes

  • Made levels 1-5 playable all at once. You can now choose an order to tackle them yourself, rather than being forced to play them sequentially.
  • Updated the level select menu to include small descriptions for each level.
  • Renamed the First Confrontation level to “Prologue,” and the Second Confrontation to “Epilogue.” I think that these are better names for what the final version of these levels will be.

Fixes

  • Updated the level preview images to show newly colored Collectibles.
  • Fixed the “continue from phase or restart level” prompt UI.
